Remembering Dr. Rose Marie Nieswiadomy
Through this fund you can pay tribute to the memory of Dr. Rose Niewsiadomy, Professor of Nursing from 1974-2006. Dr. Rose, as she was known, passed away in 2013. She is cherished for her love of family, fiends and her charitable works. A Texas Woman’s University (TWU) Alumna and a “Great 100 Nurse” selection, she dedicated 30 years to her TWU nursing students. Her highly regarded textbook, Foundation for Nursing Research, is in its 6th edition and is published in multiple languages. To honor her memory and commitment to TWU and to nursing education an endowment for nursing students has been established with the TWU Foundation.
The College of Nursing at TWU awards degrees at the Baccalaureate, Master’s and Doctoral levels. This philosophy is congruent with the mission of the university and its commitment to prepare students for leadership and service built on a solid liberal education base and quality professional programs.
